Connect to every mountain in the Canadian Rockies -all 1560 of them.

With this app, youll always know the name of that mountain youre looking at and why it has that name.

Heres how it works:

-If youre on the highway, hiking, sitting on top of a peak, or relaxing on the deck of your home with a mountain view, youll see your GPS position on your choice of a standard or satellite image map. Icons for all 1560 peaks are overlaid on the map.

-Tap on the icon to find out the name of the peak youre looking at, its elevation, the distance to it, and its bearing. As well, the naming history of the mountain is displayed.

-If youre interested in a particular peak, theres an index with the names of all 1560 peaks in the Rockies. Tap on the one youre interested in and youll see where its located with respect to your location. Youll also see the distance to the peak and its bearing.

-If you have a cellular connection or wifi available, tap on an icon to link directly to the peaks page on www.peakfinder.com, where youll find detailed information and photos of the mountain.

*Remember ... GPS functionality does not require a cellular connection.
